87% Growth in Yazd Province Exports in First Four Months

Yazd - The Director General of Yazd Customs announced an 87% increase in the value of exports from Yazd province, reaching $232.3 million this year.

According to Mehr News Agency, Mohammad Qasempour stated that over 1,034,000 tons of goods were exported from Yazd Customs to foreign countries in the first four months of this year, with a total value exceeding $232.3 million. This reflects a 27% increase in the number of declarations, a 44% increase in weight, and an 87% increase in value compared to the same period last year. Qasempour mentioned that Yazd province has 31 export partners, with Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, China, Oman, Pakistan, and Turkmenistan being the main destinations for Yazd's exported goods. He highlighted the diversity of exported goods from Yazd, which fall under 132 customs tariffs, stating that tiles and ceramics, molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, copper cathodes, rebar, and light hydrocarbons are the most exported items from Yazd province. The Director General of Yazd Customs also touched upon the province's performance in imports, noting that during this period, over 49,000 tons of goods were imported through 556 declarations, valued at over $99.997 million, indicating a 17% increase in weight and a 9% increase in value. Qasempour identified the main imported goods as raw materials for production units, spare parts, and production line machinery, which were imported from 22 countries, including China, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Italy, and Germany.
