380 Million Dollars Worth of Central Province Goods Exported

Arak - The Director General of Customs in Central Province announced the export of $380 million worth of goods to 58 countries in the first quarter of this year.
Rouhollah Gholami, in an interview with Mehr News Agency, reported a 23% increase in goods transit in Central Province, adding that 116,000 tons of goods were transited through the province's customs in the first quarter of this year.
He highlighted the significant increase in exports from Central Province, stating that during this period, 507,000 tons of goods valued at $380 million were exported through the customs of Arak, Saveh, and Zarandieh to 58 countries, marking a 25% increase in weight and approximately 39% in value compared to the same period last year.
The Director General of Customs in Central Province noted that various hydrocarbons, jet fuel, liquefied gas, petroleum products and derivatives, moisture-proof insulation, flowers and plants, stones, and other manufactured products are among the main export goods of Central Province.
He continued: Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Uzbekistan are among the top 10 destinations for the province's exported goods, accounting for 96% of total exports and elevating the province's ranking from ninth to seventh.
Gholami reported that the volume of imports in the first quarter of this year was 63,000 tons valued at $170 million, with the most significant imported goods including raw materials for production lines, concentrates, food essences, paper pulp, and licensed vehicles imported from 31 countries, showing a 7% increase in weight compared to last year.
The Director General of Customs in Central Province stated that since the beginning of this year, 214 smuggling cases have been referred to customs for investigation by other agencies, and two smuggling cases were discovered in the province's customs and sent to the judiciary for processing and ruling.
